      How to Use Perceptual Mapping Tool

      Getting Started

      1. Create Attributes First - Click "+ Add Attribute" to define what you want to measure (e.g., Price, Quality, Innovation)
      2. Add Brands - Click "+ Add Brand" to add companies with logos and scores
      3. View the Map - Select X and Y axes to visualize brand positioning

      Three Ways to Score Brands

      • Sliders: Drag to set scores (0-100) when editing a brand
      • Manual Input: Type exact values in the number field
      • Drag on Map: Click and drag logos directly on the positioning map

      Importing & Exporting Data

      CSV Template (For Bulk Data Entry)

      1. Add your attributes in the app first
      2. Click "Export CSV Template"
      3. Open in Excel/Google Sheets and fill in brand names and scores
      4. Save as CSV and click "Import CSV"
      5. Upload logos for each brand using the "Edit" button

      JSON Export/Import (Full Backup)

      • Export JSON: Save everything (brands, logos, attributes, scores)
      • Import JSON: Restore a complete backup

      Tips

      • Data auto-saves to your browser (localStorage)
      • Logos are embedded - no external files needed
      • Click a logo on the map to quick-edit that brand
      • Use CSV for initial bulk data, then fine-tune with sliders or dragging
      • Export JSON regularly to backup your work

      CSV Template Format

      Brand Name,Logo Path,Attribute1,Attribute2,...

      Note: Logo Path column is a placeholder - upload actual logos through the UI
